Fire Commission

The Board of Fire Commissioners is responsible for providing, maintaining, and regulating a fire department. The Board is bipartisan and consists of six (6) members elected for six years on a rotating basis.

The objective of the Board of Fire Commissioners is to provide adequate fire and rescue protection for the town; to organize, staff, and train an effective fire department; to plan and recommend the acquisition of apparatus, equipment, and facilities; and to provide appropriate assistance in emergencies and disasters.

Meetings, Minutes, and Agendas

Meetings are held the 1st Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM at Fire Company #1 (2825 Main Street Glastonbury, CT).
