The Town offers 4 pickleball courts at the Riverfront Community Center Fairgrounds.
Pickleball courts are open on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved for private or commercial use. The Town organization, (e.g. Parks and Recreation and Senior Services) maintains the right to reserve the courts for programming, during which time the courts will NOT be available for public use.

Reserved Hours for Seniors (60+)
The 4 pickleball courts will be reserved for citizens ages 60+ on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Apple Festival - Courts CLOSED 10/18 - 10/21
The Pickleball Courts will be closed beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday October 18th through 8:00 a.m. on Monday October 21st for the Apple Harvest Festival. The courts will be locked and inaccessible during that time.
Court Etiquette
When waiting to use the courts, the paddle rack system should be followed as noted below under the Court Rotation Rules section. Please see the guidelines below and contact Parks & Recreation staff with any questions.
Guidelines
- Courts are for Pickleball only. Any other activity is strictly prohibited.
- Proper court etiquette and sportsmanship is expected.
- Non-marking shoes are required.
- Only those actively playing are permitted on the courts. Spectators and citizens waiting for play must remain OUTSIDE the courts.
- For community safety, please do NOT use the courts when it is raining, or directly following rainfall, as they will be slippery.
- The following items/activities are PROHIBITED:
- Chairs - Chairs and other items that can mark up the courts are NOT permitted.
- Snow Shoveling - Please do NOT shovel snow off the courts. Town staff will maintain the courts throughout all seasons/weather events.
Court Rotation Rules
- Court use is limited to standard game scoring format - first to 11 points, winning team must win by 2.
- Those practicing and not in active game play, must get off the courts within 15 minutes after waiting players put their paddles on the paddle rack.
- When players are waiting, the paddle rack system is in effect.
- Waiting players should place paddles in designated area for next up in line in groups of four.
- When a game is complete, the next four waiting should rotate onto the next available court.
- Next four players should move their paddles to the next higher rack.
- If players wish to continue, they go to the end of the line to await their turn.
Borrowing Pickleball Equipment
Community members can borrow pickleball equipment from the Senior/Social Services Department on a first come, first served basis. Interested participants must fill out an Equipment Loan Agreement form and leave their ID with the RCC office. Please use the main entrance and stop by the office immediately to your left for staff assistance.
All equipment must be returned within 30 minutes of the Riverfront Community Center closing time as follows:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday - return by 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday - return by 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday - return by 1:30 p.m.
- Sundays - CLOSED (no equipment lending)
