The first installment of real estate (RE) taxes is due July 1 and becomes delinquent on the second business day of August. The second installment of RE taxes is due January 1 and becomes delinquent on the second business day of February.
Interest accrues at the rate of 18% annum, 1.5% per month, or any fraction of a month back to the due date. A minimum of $2.00 interest will be charged for each delinquent bill and installment.
No separate mailing will be sent for the second installment.
Real Estate bills cover July 1st through June 30th.
If you received a bill for Real Estate you no longer own, please contact us at (860) 652-7612. If you received your Real Estate bill and you escrow your taxes, please forward the bill to your lender.

Motor Vehicle (MV) taxes are due July 1 and become delinquent on the second business day of August. Supplemental Motor Vehicle (SMV) taxes are due January 1 and become delinquent the second business day in February.
Delinquent MV/SMV taxes must be paid by Cash, Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Online using a credit card if a release is needed to register a vehicle with the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV).
If paying in person at the tax counter with cash, money order or cashier's check, payment must be received by 4:00 PM to be included in the overnight release file to the DMV. If paying by credit card (online is the only option to pay with a card) the release will be issued within 3 business days.

Personal Property (PP) business - The first installment of PP taxes is due July 1 and becomes delinquent on the second business day of August. The second installment of PP taxes is due January 1 and becomes delinquent on the second business day of February. PP taxes under $100.00 are payable in a single installment.
Interest accrues at the rate of 18% annum, 1.5% per month or any fraction of a month back to the due date. A minimum of $2.00 interest will be charged for each delinquent bill and installment.

Sewer Use bills are due November 1 and become delinquent the first business day of December. These bills cover the period from July 1 of the previous year through June 30 of the current year.
