Join us on Wednesday, January 10th as we kick off our first outdoor adventure trip! We will join members of the Plainville Senior Center for an hour-long afternoon hike at the West Hartford Reservoir, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful spot. Participants should be comfortable walking for one hour without stopping, and comfortable hiking through terrain that has some slight inclines and declines. We will be walking on paved surfaces. Bus leaves from RCC at 12:30 p.m. and returns approximately 2:30 p.m. Please plan to eat lunch before getting on the bus. Bring water and a snack and wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots and dress appropriately for the weather (plan to bring an extra layer that is easy to put on and take off; wear a warm hat, mitten/gloves, warm socks, and long underwear if needed.
