Veterans Day Ceremony

The Veterans Service Commission (VSC) of Glastonbury will hold their Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday,  November 11th, at the Monuments on the Hubbard Street Green to honor all of our Veterans. It will begin at 10:00 AM.

This years Ceremony will include patriotic songs by the Glastonbury High School Concert Choir and Treble Choir directed by Dr. Ethan Nash and Smith Middle School Select Chorus directed by Kate Ingram. The VSC will then move on to the Glastonbury Veterans Cemetery located at 1341 Neipsic Road (north of and next door to Eastbury School). At the monuments at the cemetery, we will have a brief ceremony and the playing of taps. We will then dress all Veterans Graves with Medallions and Flags. The placing of medallions and flags at the Glastonbury Veterans Cemetery will be followed by a light luncheon at Giovanni's Brickoven Pizzeria located at 113 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury.

All veterans of all branches are invited, as well as all of the citizens of Glastonbury.

The VSC would like as much help as possible with the dressing of the Veterans Graves. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

If you would like to just help with the placing of the Flags, we will see you at 11:00 at Glastonbury Veterans Cemetery.
