You Are Invited!

Please join representatives from the CT DEEP Division of Forestry for a guided walk through an area scheduled for an upcoming forest product harvest at Meshomasic State Forest. Natural resource managers from DEEP will lead RSVP’d attendees on a tour of E-1081, an upcoming forest thinning operation being implemented by DEEP to improve the growth and quality of the residual forest. We will also discuss the specifics of the harvest planning process, forest growth and climate benefits, and steps which will be taken to protect the site while accomplishing the desired silvicultural objectives. 

Attendees can meet at the intersection of Eastbury Hill Road & Thompson Street in Glastonbury.
