What was life like on the home front during WWI? Connecticut played a key role in manufacturing even before the United States joined the global conflict in 1917. The war and its aftermath left a permanent mark on our state and its citizens. Taylor McClure of the Connecticut Historical Society will teach us about this dramatic time during which CT confronted women’s demand for the vote, a deadly flu epidemic, and mass immigration – all while sending thousands of men and women to the front.
