About the presenter: Anastasia Climan graduated from The University of Connecticut's Coordinated Undergraduate Program with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2011. After intense coursework, an internship and licensing exam, she became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She has been in practice for over eight years. In 2015, Anastasia became an award-winning Health & Wellness Coach for a major insurance corporation, providing telephonic counseling to individuals throughout the country. After four years in this role, she moved on to pursue direct patient care at LivingWell Primary Care in Bloomfield, along with writing projects and speaking presentations. Beyond nutrition, Anastasia is trained in tobacco cessation, stress management, depression screening, healthy sleep habits and behavior change. Anastasia specializes in Motivational Interviewing - guiding clients to move past resistance, discover personal incentives and take action to achieve measurable goals. Her favorite part of being a dietitian is getting to know her clients and designing tailored solutions to fit their unique lifestyles.
