About Ed Hicks
Ed graduated from Vesper George School of Art in Boston where he became strongly influenced by Wyeth and the early impressionists. He majored in commercial art and worked in ad agencies in Boston, Hartford and West Hartford. He then left the agency life to paint full-time, showing his work in outdoor shows and galleries in New England. Now, after many years working in the arts, studying great artists and knowing their work, he has turned to learning about their personal lives. He has found that, in just about all cases, they were colorful, to say the least!
