Writers interested in furthering their skills are invited to a writers' social hour at the River Bend Bookshop at 6:30 p.m. Tues., Feb. 5.

All are welcome; the event is free.

Longtime New York Times writer, Jane Gordon Julien, and River Bend Bookshop owner, Meghan Hayden, will host at the shop, located at 2217 Main St., Glastonbury. Discussion will center on what themes are of most interest to prospective workshop participants.
