The Services Division is responsible for the day to day operations of the police facility as well as the administration of the departments budget, dispatching center, records unit, training unit and the animal control facility, and operates under the command of Lieutenant Kevin Szydlo, 860-652-4220.

Permits

The Services Division is responsible for issuing temporary pistol permits, vendor permits and raffle permits.

In-State Pistol Permits (CT)

Temporary pistol permit application forms can be  picked up at the police department or downloaded online by clicking here. Residents are required to obtain a Temporary Pistol Permit issued by the Chief of Police prior to obtaining a Connecticut State Pistol Permit.  Questions concerning the pistol permit application process can be answered by accessing the Connecticut Department of Public Safety Special Licensing and Firearms. 

The procedures for obtaining bazaar and raffle permits has changed.  Public Act No. 14-24, which took effect October 1, 2014, now require the application to be submitted directly to the Department of Consumer Protection.  The forms and instructions can be obtained directly from the Department of Consumer Protection's website at www.ct.gov/dcp

The Glastonbury Police Department offers citizens and companies the ability to retrieve our accident reports online for a fee of $6.00.  

Every effort will be made to have the accident reports available seven days after the incident.  For questions concerning the availability of accident reports, please contact the Glastonbury Police Department Records Unit at 860-652-4227 during normal business hours.
