Senior Service Programs in Need of Help:

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations are welcome and appreciated. Such funds are kept separate from the General Fund and managed by the Town’s Financial Administration Office. Donations of this kind may only be used for the purpose designated by the donor.

Checks should be written to “Town of Glastonbury” and the memo should specify to which program the donation should be applied - e.g. "Dial-A-Ride", "Glastonbury Gives", "Chores Assistance Program". Checks may be mailed to the Riverfront Community Center, 300 Welles Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033 or dropped off in the drop-box located outside the RCC entrance. If using the drop-box, please place the check in a clearly labeled envelope for the program you wish to support. At the time of the donation, a Donation Slip should also be completed by the donor. This ensures that the donation will be deposited into the correct fund, for the purpose intended by the donor, and that the donor receives an acknowledgement of the donation. All monetary donations are tax deductible.

Donations may be given in memory of someone, as a celebration of good fortune, as a thank-you for services rendered “above and beyond” what is reasonably expected, as a way to provide services or programs for persons experiencing difficult financial times, or to enhance the lives of others through special senior center programs or activities.

For more information concerning making a monetary donation to Senior Services, please call (860) 652-7638.

Thank you in advance for your support.
