Established in 1943, the Glastonbury Fire Department protects more than 35,000 people living in the Glastonbury, CT community.
Our Mission: Protect life and property within the community through the provision of professional fire service, including, but not limited to: fire prevention, suppression, rescue services, management of hazardous material situations, and related public safety services.
The Department supports other towns under mutual aid agreements, or on an as needed basis. Our mission is supported by the Department’s core values of Commitment, Respect, and Integrity.
The members who unselfishly dedicate their time and talents to the Glastonbury Fire Department play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community.
With four fire stations located throughout the Town - Station 1 at 2825 Main Street, Station 2 at 905 Main Street, Station 3 at 1089 Chestnut Hill Road and Station 4 at 1247 Manchester Road - the Department is always looking for more members.
