In the event of an emergency or extended power outage, such as Storms Irene and Isaias, the Town of Glastonbury provides emergency information and services as generally outlined below.

  • Power Outages – Report directly to Eversource at 1-800-286-2000
  • Downed Wires – Contact Glastonbury Police Dispatch at (860) 633-8301. (Always assume ALL wires are live and stay as far away as possible until the area is cleared.)
  • Fallen Trees without Wires that are...
    • CREATING AN IMMEDIATE SAFETY CONCERN - Police Dispatch - (860) 633-8301. 
      (Example: tree is impeding traffic on a main road)
    • NOT-HAZARDOUS - To report a fallen tree on a Town road or property that is NOT intermingled with downed wires and does NOT present an immediate safety hazard or concern, please visit www.glastonburyct.gov/citizenrequest and submit a request using the electronic form. If you do not have internet access, you may report this issue to the Customer Service Center at (860) 652-7710. If you reach the voicemail line, leave a detailed message including the street address, cross street, and as much detail as possible about the issue and a staff member will look into the matter.
