Motor vehicle traffic crashes are a leading cause of death of children in the U.S. Each year, about 5,000 children are involved in car crashes, and 18% are unrestrained. Car seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% for infants (younger than 1 year old) and by 54% for toddlers (1 to 4 years old) in passenger cars.

To help ensure the safety of our youth, the Glastonbury Police and Fire Departments are hosting a car seat inspection clinic on Thursday, September 19, 2024 between 3:00 and 7:00 PM at Fire Company 1 (2825 Main Street).

No appointment required. Residents will be assisted on a first come, first served basis.
