Event Calendar
Memorial Day Parade 2023
- Date: 05/29/2023 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- Location: Main St. / Hubbard St.
The Veterans Service Commission of Glastonbury will hold their annual memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29th, beginning at 9:00 AM.
Assembly time and location: 8:00 AM on Welles St. behind St. Paul's Church.
Given the solemn and dignified nature of the parade, it is required that ALL Participants refrain from throwing, tossing, or giving items to spectators (except for poppies or small flags) along the Parade Route.
Please refrain from:
- horn blowing
- stopping along the way for greetings, handshakes or pictures
ALTERNATE: In case of showers or cloudy weather, the parade and Green Ceremony will proceed as planned. In case of a severe rainstorm, the ceremony will be held at the Glastonbury High School Gymnasium, 330 Hubbard St. All Participants please report to High School Gymnasium, at 9:00 AM.
Please go to channel 3, 30, or WTIC AM in case of inclement weather before 8:00 AM on Memorial Day to check the status.
