CT Historical Society Presents "Rosie the Riveter"

  • Introduction: Join us in welcoming Taylor McClure of the Connecticut Historical Society to celebrate Women’s History Month at WTML.

“Rosie the Riveter” became an iconic image of working women during World War II. What was it really like for them? Take a look at propaganda posters, art, music, photos, and hear real-life accounts of Connecticut women who worked for victory in the war.

About the Presenter: Taylor McClure is a Museum Educator at the Connecticut Historical Society. She teaches educational programs for school and adult groups both at the museum and on location. Taylor is a former high school social studies teacher, with a B.A. in History and a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington.
