Full STEAM Ahead: Let's Build a Sled

For children in grades K - 3

  • Introduction: Brrr-ing on the winter season and have snow much fun with stories, STEAM, and sleds. Brace yourself for thrills and chills as we listen to The Iciest, Diciest, Scariest Sled Ride Ever! by Rebecca Rule.

Following the story, you will be challenged to construct your own sled using various building materials. Then test out your sled in a race against other teams to see which will travel the fastest (or the slowest!) down a ramp. Registration begins online December 15 for residents; December 23 for nonresidents.
