Indian Art Forms for Children: Exploring Climate Change Through Indian Classical Dance

Glastonbury, Connecticut 06033 - Introduction: Sarada Nori Akella of Layavinyasa School of Dance and Music will share a brief history and origin of Indian classical dance.
Children will then learn mudras, or hand gestures, to embody the elements of nature as they discuss how climate change impacts nature. A short performance will conclude the workshop where they will perform the elements of nature in Kuchipudi.
This program is made possible through a grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Online registration begins October 7.
