Indian Art Forms for Children: Indian Classical Music (Carnatic)

Glastonbury, Connecticut 06033 - Introduction: During this workshop Sarada Nori Akella of Layavinyasa School of Dance and Music will introduce children to the fundamental notes of Carnatic classical music.
After a brief history of the origin of Indian classical music, children will learn a song to sing together. A second workshop featuring Indian dance will be held on October 26. Children may register for one or both.
These programs are made possible through a grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Online registration begins October 7.
