This month’s topic is Senior Living Communities. Join us in welcoming Liz Cornish, MSPT, Certified Dementia Care Specialist, Senior Care Consultant and owner of New Season in Life, LLC. Liz will explain the differences between Skilled Nursing Homes, Independent and Assisted Living Communities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, and Memory Care Communities. She will then focus specifically on Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities. You can learn how these communities can differ in care and amenities. She will provide information regarding questions that families should ask and things to look for in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community.

Registration begins September 29th, online or by calling the library’s Reference Department at 860-652-7720. Registration with a valid email address is required to receive login information on the day of the Zoom meeting.

About the Presenter: Liz Cornish is a physical therapist with more than 30 years’ experience working in senior living communities throughout Connecticut. She continues to work as a homecare physical therapist in the Farmington Valley. Liz’s extensive experience and knowledge of area resources make her an invaluable asset for seniors and their families looking for guidance in obtaining the best care as they age. She understands the numerous and varied challenges that arise when seniors need help during the aging process.
