Ditching Fad Diets + Healthy Lunch Prep ~ Virtual Program

Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to learn how to start the New Year off in a healthy way! No more calorie counting or juice cleanses; you’ll learn how to determine if a diet is fad or fact. You’ll also have the chance to cook along and make a delicious lunch-prep recipe: Sweet Potato Fajita Bowls with Guacamole. You’ll need the following ingredients:  Food Explorers Logo
  • 1-2 sweet potatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 pepper
  • olive oil
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lime
  • salt
  • brown rice (or white rice, quinoa, carrot, etc.)
  • optional seasonings like: cumin, paprika, chili powder

Registration begins December 15, online or by calling the library’s Reference Department at 860-652-7720. Registration with a valid email address is required in order to receive login information on the day of the Zoom meeting.
