In 1918-1919, the world experienced a lethal outbreak of influenza that took the lives of millions. What was it like to live through the Influenza Pandemic of 1918? In this program presented by Natalie Belanger of the Connecticut Historical Society, we’ll look at archival images, letters and newspapers to explore this topic, including sources left by Connecticans who experienced the flu first-hand. She holds a B.A. in history from Smith College and an M.A. in women's history from the University of Maryland.
