Calling all Democratic and Republican Party Electors to vote on AUGUST 11, 2020 in Primaries Election for the Presidential Preference Primaries.
Calling all Republican Party Electors to determine who will be the Party candidate in the First and Second Congressional District November General Election.
We are accepting Mail-in registrations through Thursday, August 6, 2020 including all those postmarked no later than August 6, 2020.
You may register in person through Monday, August 10, 2020 by calling the ROV office through 12:00 NOON at the Town Hall, Registrar of Voters office.
To register to vote, you must be 18 years of age or older and be a U.S Citizen, and resident of the Town of Glastonbury. EXCEPTION: If you are 18 years old ON OR BEFORE November 3, 2020, and are a registered Democratic or Republican, you are eligible to vote in the Primaries on August 11, 2020.
UNAFILLIATED voters are able to change their affiliation to Democratic or Republican up through August 10, 2020 ending at NOON in order to vote in the August 11, 2020 Primary.
The State of CT mailed Absentee Ballots to all those Electors who requested a ballot. There are two ballot boxes at the front entrance to Town Hall for depositing those ballots.
Polls will open on Primary Day 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Voting is open at all locations as shown below:
District- 1- Smith Middle School. 216 Addison Road
District-2–Hebron Ave. Elementary School 1363 Hebron Avenue
District-3-Hebron Ave. Elementary School, 1363 Hebron Avenue
District-4-Gideon Welles School, 1029 Neipsic Road
District-5-Nayaug Elementary School, 222 Old Maids Lane
District-7-Academy Building, 2143 Main Street
District-9-Hopewell Elementary School, 1068 Chestnut Hill Road
For the voters’ assistance, a listing of all Town of Glastonbury streets are on the Town’s web site, www.glastonbury-ct.gov, with the corresponding local district number.
