December 9  “Our Souls At Night” (2017) *** Starring Robert Redford, Jane Fonda and Bruce Dern - After widowed neighbors Addie and Louis begin sleeping in bed together platonically to alleviate their loneliness, a real romance begins to blossom.  Rated TV-14/Romance/1 hour 43 minutes. 

December 16 “Saving Mr. Banks” (2014) *** Starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. This is the true story of one of the most treasured Disney classics of all time, Mary Poppins. Rated PG-13/Family/2 hours.

December 23 “Christmas with the Kranks” (2004) Starring Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd - Finally alone for the holidays, Luther and Nora Krank plan to eschew the Christmas traditions and take a cruise in the Caribbean instead.  This doesn’t sit well with their Christmas-obsessed neighbors Vic Frohmeyer and Walt Scheel, who are determined to win the annual “best decorated street” competition, and the Kranks soon find themselves social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.  Rated PG/Comedy/1 hour 39 minutes.

December 30 “The Lion King” (2019) ***** Starring Donald Glover, Beyonce Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones - A young lion returns to reclaim the throne and the Pride Lands that were stolen from him and his father by his treacherous and fratricidal uncle after spending his adolescence in exile, under the care and supervision of a friendly warthog and meerkat.
