"How to Train Your Dragon": From Book to Big Screen

Library Program for Children in Grades 2-5

If you want to learn more about this popular series but can’t decide between the book or the movie, now’s your chance to try both! Kids in grades 2-5 can enjoy one or both parts of this program. The movie is open to all ages.

How to Train Your Dragon Book CoverHow to Train Your Dragon DVD Cover-copyright Dreamworks2:15-3pm: For the first part of this program, learn more about the best-selling series that inspired the hit DreamWorks film "How to Train Your Dragon" through trivia, book discussions and other fun extension activities. Registration is required and begins April 3 for residents; April 13 for nonresidents.

3:15-5pm: For the second part of the program, view the film "How to Train Your Dragon," based on the book by Cressida Cowell, which pairs a young Viking with a ferocious dragon. Hiccup and Toothless must work together to save both of their worlds. Rated PG, for all ages; 98 min. No registration is needed.
